The meeting point for the Werder players Friday morning was Überseestadt as the fitness session which was set up for Robin Dutt's coaching team was spontaneously moved to the fitness world from WerderSports.
"The different environment, the new devices and working in the group gave some new impulses with the players. That promotes the motivation and gives a new group dynamic that is fun for everyone," praised assistant coach Damir Buric, who showed he can have some fun and still had gas left in the tank by grabbing the sandbag. "This isn't really a normal fitness studio, this is a fitness arena. In most studios, mirrored walls give a better sense of space. You don't need that here. It's spacious and you look out onto the Weser on the left and onto the roofs of Überseestadt on the right. This was perfect for the team today," said Buric. It's no wonder considering WerderSports offers the news fitness machines spread out over 8,000 square metres in an extraordinary ambience.
The team also had a chance to relax just before the midday break in a yoga room where the visit to WerderSports was completed with stability and relaxation exercises. It will certainly not be the last session there for Hunt, Petersen and co.
WerderSports marketing boss Lennart Strodthoff was happy about every Werder visitor. "We are not just a favourite spot for professional footballers. Many Werder members use the lucrative rebates which we offer as part of membership at WerderSports," said Strodthoff.
