Werder's Austrian international Zlatko Junuzovic returned to Green-Whites team training on Tuesday. "I wasn't feeling very well still yesterday. But it's much better today. I still need one or two days to really have the full intensity at training," said ‘Zladdi' after overcoming his gastro intestinal infection.
Junuzovic now hopes to be on hand for the home match against Eintracht Frankfurt, which is not an unrealistic goal. "I am not yet 100 percent but more training sessions during the week will help me be ready to give my all by at least Saturday," said Junuzovic.
Aleksandar Ignjovski was once again able to complete a running session without the ball. The Serbian received a knock on his left knee in the match against Hoffenheim, which was worse than he thought. ‘Iggy' held through for 82 minutes and the diagnosis on Sunday was Patella tendon irritation. "I still feel the knee a little bit, but it's gotten better. I think that I will be able to train with the team again tomorrow," said the Serbian international.
Predrag Stevanovic, meanwhile, made his way back to team training on Tuesday after a short stint on Sunday. "Everything was great, I didn't have any problems. My main goal is just to stay healthy," said the 22-year-old. The older of the Stevanovic brothers suffered a knee ligament injury last September in a U23 match against VfB Lübeck. The ligament problems re-occurred during his rehab in Düsseldorf, further delaying his return. Stevanovic has been back in Bremen since last Friday and would like to "really go at it" in the summer preparations.
