Werder defender Sokratis was ordered to rest Tuesday afternoon 7 February 2012 after the Greek international suffered a small flesh wound on his leg during a challenge last Friday and then played a full 90 minutes two days later in Freiburg. Sokratis went through a care program at Weser Stadium on Tuesday and is expected to continue to receive treatment on Wednesday and not participate in training. Wesley also did not take part in team training though the Brazilian did complete an individual training Tuesday afternoon since his transfer was not completed by Tuesday.
Predrag Stevanvovic meanwhile started training at 3 p.m. but could not finish it as the 20-year-old suffered a knee injury during a challenge. His brother Aleksandar meanwhile is still in rehab training after his cruciate ligament tear. "He has been on the treadmill for the past two weeks, everything is going as planned," said Predrag about his 12 month younger brother.
