Werder's talented youngsters will spend the week on international duty as Pascal Testroet, Lennart Thy and Florian Trinks have some big-time opponents. Testroet and the German U20 national team will take on Italy on Wednesday 9 February 2011 at 11 a.m. in Oberhausen.
Just as exciting will be the showdown for Thy and Trinks a day earlier as they join forces with the German U19 team Tuesday night 8 February 2011 to take on England in Chesterfield. A third Bremen player Clemens Schoppenhauer is also nominated for the England match.
Liam Boyce could also make his first senior national team appearance. The 19-year-old forward was nominated by Northern Ireland head coach Nigel Worthington for the friendly against Scotland, which takes place on Wednesday 9 February 2011 in Dublin.
Four more Bremen talents made their ways to their respective national teams already on Sunday 6 February 2011. Alexander Hahn and Niclas Füllkrug will take part in the U18 German national team's camp in Ruit until Wednesday. Cimo Röcker and Levent Aycicek will be participating in the German U17 camp in Hanau during the same time.
