Richard Strebinger has to be patient a couple more days before he can finally give his all again together with his teammates. On Wednesday afternoon, Werder's number two keeper was back on the pitch after back problems and back between the posts of the Weser Stadium training grounds - with his teammates in sight.
"It looks good and is moving forward. If everything continues to progress like it has, I can train again with the team in a few days. Until then I have to continue doing strength drills and physiotherapy," said the Austrian fter his individual session with physiotherapist Florian Lauerer.
Davie Selke and Marnon Busch are two talents from Werder's youth development academy who made the professional squad at the beginning of the season - and even have had regular appearances. Head coach Robin Dutt continued his philosophy of permeability between the U23s and the professional team.
Maximilian Eggestein and U19 keeper Leo Weinkauf trained on Wednesday after taking part in the previous sessions while Torben Rehfeldt and U23 new acquisition Leon Guwara also were back after long breaks.
Missing however was Clemens Fritz. The Werder captain will return to team training on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday for personal reasons.
