Markus, you seem to like things in Donaueschingen.
It started well here. I am with the team for a second time in Donaueschingen and it wasn't too bad last year either. I like it here, the week can continue on so.
Why did things work especially well in the last half hour against the Verbandsliga amateur team?
We just played well. You should play like that against this kind of team. The ball just rolled well and we applied pressure. We had a lot of fun on the pitch.
It seems like the knot has been broken for you with four goals - a feat even against a team like this.
Sometimes you score, sometimes you don't. In the first three tests, things didn't go that well for me. I wasn't able to use my chances. My legs were heavy because I worked hard. But now I can tell that it's getting better and better. The whole team is getting like that. We are not yet 100 percent, but these are test matches and it has to be that way. We don't need everything to work until the Cup match in Heidenheim.
What impression to you have personally of the team?
That is difficult for us players to say because this situation is not easy. We have a lot of injuries, have hard training sessions and have a lot of young players. We always score a lot of goals against lower class teams - today 11 goals. But three days ago it was 0-0. So it's difficult to have a serious estimation.
We wanted to hear something about your gut feelings.
My feeling is that we are showing good performances in training and things are good in the group. It's fun. That makes me confident.
