Niels Stolberg has announced his resignation from his post on the SV Werder Bremen supervisory board with immediate effect. "I have to focus my entire concentration and strength in this phase on my business challenges. Therefore I feel it only right to end with immediate effect my work on the Werder Bremen supervisory board," said Niels Stolberg Wednesday night.
Werder's supervisory board chairman Willi Lemke regretfully accepted the resignation. "The supervisory board and Werder Bremen's management thank Niels Stolberg for his excellent and constructive work in the last two and a half years and wish him all the best for his business challenges," said Lemke.
Stolberg's successor will be Alex Plaat, Werder's treasurer who was elected at the SV Werder member assembly in November 2010 as alternate candidate.
