It was Stevanovic's first 13 minutes in the Bundesliga but it was also a very important step in his young career. He had grabbed attention a number of times in the last few weeks, including scoring two goals in Werder's U23 side's 2-1 away victory against Braunschweig, before finally getting his debut with the professional team. "I am very satisfied with my development, but I have to keep giving my all and working hard to get more appearances," said ‘Preddy', who admits he still hasn't achieved anything yet. "I wouldn't say it was a start, but at least a beginning has been made. It is not a signal that I have accomplished anything." And the Serb is not at all shaken that he made his Bundesliga debut in the middle of the relegation fight. "I am not putting any pressure on myself because we are fighting to stay in the league. Football should be fun and I am a motivated but also easy-going guy. Besides I am very confident that we will stay in the league." Still, Stevanovic admits he was "somewhat nervous" when he was brought on. "But I think that's the same for all players. And once I got on the pitch it was a nice feeling," said Stevanovic.
