Frank Baumann, Johan Micoud and Ivan Klasnic are among the many Werder legends who will lace up their football boots on Saturday 6 September 2014 at 4 p.m for Ailton's farewell match. In addition to a number of former Green-Whites players, the spectators can also look forward to a selection of stars for the South American team. There will be a hint of South American football flair in Bremen with the likes of Giovane Elber, Paulo Sérgio and Julio Cesar on hand.

While Elber and Sergio will show off their magic on the pitch, Julio Cesar will watch the match from the sidelines. Even though the former Brazilian international will only be coaching the team, Ailton is happy about his return to his former team. "Julio is 100 percent committed. It's very important for me because he's a very good friend of mine," Ailton told WERDER.TV news.

Ailton: “An awesome match”
