The final roster for points hunting against the wolves is set as head coach Thomas Schaaf nominated his 18-man squad after Friday's final training. Absent from the very young squad are the midfield trio Marko Marin (muscular problems in pelvic area), Aaron Hunt (red suspension) and Mehmet Ekici (pulled stomach muscle).
For the first time, the trio of Florian Trinks (19 years old), Lennart Thy (19) and Tom Trybull (18) is on the Bundesliga squad together. Also on the roster will be defender Naldo, who dealt with a facial injury the entire week of training following a collision in the game against Bayern. "The nerve underneath my left eye is somewhat damaged but it is not a problem for an appearance on Saturday," said Naldo. On Friday, the Brazilian clarified if he should play with a protective mask for precautionary reasons. During the final training, he partially wore a protective mask, which had been prepared specially for him. "It was not a good feeling. It impairs the orientation. I will play tomorrow without the mask," said the 29-year-old defender.
