One single goal is missing still, then the greatest foreign-born scorer in the Bundesliga, Claudio Pizarro, will have reached the 150 mark. It will be another landmark in his Bundesliga career, which started in 1999 and was interrupted by a short stay in the English Premier League. Regardless if Pizarro extends his personal record, his entire concentration is on Werder's away match at Mainz on the 11th game day on Saturday 29 October 2011 at 6:30 p.m. (live ticker on WERDER.DE starting at 6:15 p.m.).

"It will not be easy," said Pizarro about what the Green-Whites can expect from the opponents. "We have only picked up one point from the last three games, that is not enough. We are still confident. But we need to be more consistent. We want to have a good game and bring home three points," said Werder's Peruvian international.

Pizarro and 16 other Werder players flew to Mainz after the final training on Friday. There is one spot still available as head coach Thomas Schaaf did not nominate Wesley for the contest. "We have not been satisfied with his performances. They have not been how we imagined them," said the 50-year-old coach.

Schaaf nominated the following 17 players for the Bundesliga away match against Mainz: Wiese, Mielitz, Fritz, Naldo, Sokratis, Wolf, Prödl, Schmitz, Ekici, Bargfrede, Ignjovski, Hunt, Marin, Rosenberg, Pizarro, Thy, Wagner
