No Marko Marin and no Mehmet Ekici! When Werder Bremen take on Augsburg on Saturday 24 March 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at Weser Stadium (live ticker at WERDER.DE starting at 3:15 p.m.) both creative midfielders will not be available. "Both are still dealing with a couple of left-over problems," said head coach Thomas Schaaf after the end of the final training Friday afternoon.

"Marko is not far enough along yet that he can play against Augsburg. We have to do without him unfortunately," said Schaaf about not nominating Marin for the match. In addition to Marin and Ekici, the Bremen coach will also be missing Tim Wiese, Philipp Bargfrede, Aaron Hunt, Tim Borowski, Sebastian Prödl, Marko Arnautovic as well as the suspended Claudio Pizarro. In addition, Naldo is not ready yet for a nomination in the Green-Whites squad. "We will be respectful of Augsburg but we are convinced of our own quality," said Schaaf of his personnel problems before the game.

Schaaf nominated the following players for the game against Augsburg: Mielitz, Vander, Sokratis, Affolter, Fritz, Boenisch, Silvestre, Hartherz, Schmitz, Kroos, Ignjovski, Junuzovic, Trybull, Rosenberg, Füllkrug, Thy, Avdic.
