Tim Borowski fought his way back into the team the last weeks and months with a lot of hard work with the goal of being back in the roster this season. And he accomplished that just in time to be named on the game roster for the final match of the season. The midfielder was injured eight months before finally returning to team training two weeks ago. "Of course I am so excited," said "Boro" about his nomination. "But I am a little anxious after such a long time out."
Claudio Pizarro was back on the pitch as well after missing time with a pinched nerve, giving him the green light to play against Schalke. "I am doing better than the past couple days. It still feels a bit strange but I still have one more day to recover," said "Piza".
Head coach Thomas Schaaf named the following 18 players for the game against Schalke: Wiese, Mielitz - Boenisch, Naldo, Borowski, Arnautovic, Fritz, Rosenberg, Schmitz, Hunt, Prödl, Sokratis, Junuzovic, Pizarro, Trybull, Hartherz, Aleksandar Stevanovic, Trinks.
