Werder's Greek international defender is back! Sokratis was able to train again with his teammates on Thursday afternoon 29 September 2011. ‘Papas' had been unable to kick a ball for about two weeks due to a muscle fibre tear in the adductors of his right thigh...

"I feel good and completed the entire session with the team. We hope that it goes on like this and the muscle does not show a reaction. I have to wait the next couple days to decide if I can play on Sunday. But I feel ready for Hannover," said Sokratis after the some 90-minute training in summer temperatures.

His backline colleague Andreas Wolf had a moment of shock as the centre back remained on the ground after a challenge with Markus Rosenberg with shin pain. "It's nothing serious. I just got scraped up a bit. It won't be a problem for the Hannover game," said Wolf, who had his leg bandaged by sports physiotherapist Holger Berger and was able to continue with training. The next session with Wolf, Sokratis and company is Friday 30 September 2011 at 3 p.m. on the training grounds of Weser Stadium.
