+++ "Ride down" with ‘Iggy': The winning team from the Hannover match took to the bikes Monday morning for some regenerative cooling down on two wheels. The players ran a combined 115km during the win Sunday evening in the Lower Saxony state capital. As a comparison, the Werder team ran about the same distance in 90 minutes as if they were to drive to Hannover. Aleksandar Ignjovski was only on hand for the bike tour after the Serbian international has missed the last two matches with a stomach muscle strain. +++
+++ Mama's cooking provides for necessary extra energy: Werder's Franco Di Santo is considered like a class clown among the team. The striker, who never shied away from a laugh, displayed his humour to the journalists after Monday's training. When asked how he celebrated his goal and the victory, Di Santo answered: "Of course with a lot of sangria!" Shortly thereafter the Argentinean clarified that there was in fact no sangria but rather some delicious home cooking from his mama, who has been staying with Di Santo in Bremen for a couple of weeks. "I am finally eating regularly again and am happy that my family is here," said Di Santo. +++
+++ Theo looks forward to next 50: The match against Hannover was special for Theodor Gebre Selassie as well as the Czech international was subbed in after 84 minutes for Aaron Hunt, making his 50th appearance for Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga. Here's to the next 50, Theo! +++
