+++ Start for Schröder: It finally started. Four days before the official start of training for SV Werder on Thursday 26 June 2014, Rouven Schröder is starting his duties with the Green-Whites. As the new sports director, Schröder will initially be responsible for planning the player roster and scouting - along with Frank Baumann, who will step down in 2015. It's a project that Schröder is fully looking forward to. "I am happy that it's finally starting. The first day is there to set up and arrive. But the next few days will be really busy. There's a lot to get done," said the 38-year-old. +++

+++ Off to Illertissen: 547 kilometers - that is the distance between Bremen and Illertissen. It's a long trip to the first round of the 2014-15 German DFB Cup. Whoever isn't worried of that distance has had a chance since Monday 23 June 2014 to get tickets for the first competitive match of the season for Robin Dutt's team. All further information for the sale of tickets is available on the ticket section of WERDER.DE. +++

+++ A special kind of training: The start of the official China Tour, which has been planned together with the German Football League (DFL), is just around the corner. It's only seven days away before the Green-Whites take off for the most populated country on the globe. It's about time to get used to local surroundings. To be best prepared for the trip, a Werder delegation will go through an intercultural training on Thursday. +++
