+++ Expect the unexpected: All of a sudden everything changed quite quickly for youth talent Marnon Busch. Sunday afternoon he was playing a test match with Werder's U23 team at Jong Twente and directly thereafter he was informed by coach Viktor Skripnik that he will be travelling to the Bundesliga team's training camp. He quickly headed to Bremen to pack his things and then flew to Munich and on to Zillertal. Busch arrived at the team hotel in Zell am Ziller Sunday evening. And just a few hours later on Monday he was completing all three training sessions with the professionals. What a crazy 24 hours! +++

+++ Spontaneous change of shoes: The second discipline of the Green-Whites' in-team triathlon was actually scheduled for Thursday but it ended up changing. Instead of going at it on the training grounds, the Werder players put on their running shoes. Running was on the bill for Fritz, Prödl and Co. after they swam in the morning. The 1.2 kilometre route, which had to be run five times, went straight through Zell am Ziller. The final part of the triathlon, cycling, will follow on Thursday. +++

+++ Elia has nice hair! Eljero Elia's new blonde hair-do provided for plenty of laughs at training Sunday afternoon. After some Werder fans called out during the session "You have nice hair!", head coach Robin Dutt provided some assistance to stop the disturbance. Dutt handed the Dutchman his cap to cover his hair, drawing an applause. Despite all of the intensive work, fun can still be had in Zillertal. +++

+++ Reunion with Marko Arnautovic: Manager Thomas Eichin as well as the two directors of sports Frank Baumann and Rouven Schröder visited the test match of Borussia Mönchengladbach against Stoke City (1-1 draw) which was taking place Sunday afternoon in Rottach-Egern. It was also a reunion with Marko Arnautovic, who has played for Stoke since last summer. "Thomas Eichin and I talked to him briefly and asked how he and his family are doing. It was a very nice chat. We enjoyed seeing him again," said ‘Baumi'.
