And Viktor Skripnik and his coaching staff took advantage of the weather for an extensive endurance run with the team to kick off the start of the derby week of training. The running shoes will be swapped again for the football boots Tuesday at 10 a.m. +++
+++ Undefeated group leaders: There were a variety of results for the Werder international players. Sebastian Prödl and Zlatko Junuzovic remained the undefeated leaders of their Euro 2016 qualifying group after a 1-0 victory over Russia. While Junuzovic played the full 90 minutes last Saturday, Prödl was subbed in after 86 minutes and helped seal the win. Izet Hajrovic is still waiting for a victory with the Bosnian national team in their qualifying group as they lost 3-0 against Israel, despite the striker playing the entire match. Cedrick Makiadi and the DR Congo lost their match in Cameroon 1-0. +++
+++ Victory, draw and defeat: Leon Guwara and Raif Husic lost on Thursday with the German U19s at the Four-Nations tournament in Greece, dropping 2-0 to Spain before beating hosts Greece 3-0 on Saturday. Husic played the full match both times while Guwara played 90 minutes against Spain and was brought on after 69 minutes v Greece. Only Guwara played in the 5-0 loss against France on Monday, coming on in the 69th minute.+++
+++Davie Selke was subbed in at half-time of the German U20s' 1-1 draw against Switzerland. His teammate Luca Zander did not play. While the U20s have a match against Poland and Werder U23 striker Maik Lukowicz on Tuesday, Husic and Guwara were playing on Monday against France. +++
