+++ A goal to talk about: Really, Fin Bartels is more of an assist man. But on Friday in Leverkusen, the midfielder showed that he also has the nose of a striker. With nerves of steel, Werder's No. 22 converted his chance for the 1-1 equaliser. For the summer acquisition, it was his first goal in the Green-Whites jersey. Despite the goal and the strong match, Bartels is not thinking of letting up. "I'm not yet satisfied and will not just put up my legs," said the 27-year-old on Sunday's Sportbiltz show on Radio Bremen TV. To see what Bartels thinks of the development of the team and how hard the last few weeks of training have been, Werder fans can check out the interview here. +++

+++ Take a deep breath: The Werder players have some long training weeks behind them. While the international players were on national team break, the rest of the squad really went at it on the Weser Stadium. Head coach Robin Dutt used the Bundesliga-free time to prepare his team for the up-coming weeks. And to make sure that his players' batteries are re-charged, the coach gave the team Monday and Tuesday off. +++

+++ All good things come in threes... this motto definitely goes for Franco Di Santo. The Argentinean secured the Volkswagen Man of the Match award on the third match day as well. Di Santo collected 27 percent of the votes on the Green-Whites' official Facebook profile. Congratulations on the hat-track, Franco! +++

+++ Out and about together: The Werder players used the weekend off for a team evening. On Saturday, the entire team went out for a evening dinner. Then they went to celebrate in a Bremen disco! Despite the Leverkusen match, the players didn't really have heavy legs. +++
