+++ Short break, quick return: Thursday afternoon saw a trio of players - Felix Kroos and Melvyn Lorenzen (both muscular problems) as well as Maik Lukowicz (back problems) - sit out but all three were back on the pitch a few hours later. In the Friday morning session, Franco Di Santo was able to take another step forward as the Argentinean played in the traditional "five versus two" drill. Keep it going, Franco! +++

+++ Reunion: He played along the Weser from 2006 to 2009 and there will be a reunion at the training camp. Diego Ribas da Cunha, or Diego for short, is also going through winter preparations in Belek with his current club Fenerbahce Istanbul starting on Saturday 10 January 2015. And not only that, the 31-year-old will be staying at the same hotel as SV Werer. Diego will meet up with former teammates Clemens Fritz as well as current assistant coaches Torsten Frings and Christian Vander. +++

+++ Late arrival: Viktor Skripnik's coaching staff is now complete. Assistant coach Florian Kohfeldt arrived in Turkey Thursday morning after remaining in Bremen for personal reasons. Kohfeldt was back on the pitch with the other coaches for the second training session in the afternoon. +++
