+++ Christmas time, Christmas time and Werder are ready: The scent of freshly-baked gingery biscuits was in the air and a Christmas tree and gifts were present. Christmas songs were being sung and everyone from captain to head coach were wearing their Green-Whites stocking hats. That was the scene Wednesday as the whole team including coaching staff took time between the two training sessions to record a Christmas greeting for the Werder fans. Di Santo, Prödl and Co. opened up their changing room and the guys were in pretty good spirits during the one-hour filming, showing off their acting and singing talents. It will be interesting to see which Christmas greetings the team will present on social media during the holidays. +++
+++ Junuzovic cleans up: Zlatko Junuzovic received plenty of recognition for his outstanding play in the 4-0 victory over Paderborn last Saturday. First off, he was named in the top XI of the match day by Kicker and then was voted as one of the top players by transfermarkt.de. And now he can celebrate being named as player of the 13th match day by bundesliga.de, receiving 62 percent of the votes. There's yet another honor still possible as he is the clear leader in the voting for the goal of the match day as 96 percent of the fans have voted for his 30 yard free kick goal. Go here to vote for Juno. +++
+++ Happy Birthday: Four players from the professional roster have birthdays in the next few days. Nils Petersen turns 26 on 6 December and Clemens Fritz will be 34 on 7 December while Marnon Busch will turn 20 and Maximilian Eggestein 18 on 8 December. WERDER.DE hopes that the quartet can give themselves a present with three points from Frankfurt. +++
