Werder have finally arrived in China. The Werder group was travelling nearly 25 hours before reaching their first destination Changchun. So that the Green-Whites fans can get an impression of what happens in the Far East, WERDER.DE is taking a look behind the scenes of the WERDER BREMEN CHINA TOUR 2014 in a special edition of Short News.
+++ The first impression counts - and that is positive at SV WERDER. The Green-Whites have been travelling in the Far East for about 12 hours and have been able to come up with a small first impression. "We haven't seen much yet but we are experiencing an incredible hospitality and can see that there are some Werder fans in far-off China. We like that a lot and we hope that there are a few more by the end of the week," said Robin Dutt. Thomas Eichin added: "I was positively surprised from the reception yesterday evening. Especially that the fans here know so much about our club. We are happy to be here and are looking forward to the country and the impressions." +++
+++ The game can come! SV Werder have only just arrived in China and the first test match is already on the schedule. On Wednesday 2 July 2014 at 7:30 p.m. local time (1:30 p.m. Bremen time), SV Werder will take on Changchun Yatai. "We will talk about some tactical group things tonight and then give the players individual tasks. The level of the Chinese teams is getting better and better. I am interested in seeing the performance level of the football here," said Robin Dutt. +++
+++ A press conference to get ready! At the end of the Green-Whites' first training session on Chinese soil, there was a press conference in the evening at Changchun Jingkai Stadium looking ahead to the match. Manager Thomas Eichin, head coach Robin Dutt and player Zlatko Junuzovic answered the journalists' questions. +++
+++ What is Joseph Akpala doing? Manager Thomas Eichin talked to the travelling journalists about that Wednesday morning in Changchun. "Joseph is currently in rehab training after his Achilles tendon injury but will join the team after the China trip and come back to training to get back to the right level. Everything else we have to wait and see." +++
