The Champions League final between Manchester United and FC Barcelona will take place with official participation from Werder Bremen. The Green-Whites' head coach Thomas Schaaf travelled to London Friday morning to take part for the second straight year in the UEFA Technical Study Group which will not only analyse the final but also the entire Champions League season for the continental federation.
The Bremen coach will be joined by some of the best European coaches, including Gerard Houllier (Aston Villa), Roy Hodgson (West Bromwich Albion), Fabio Capello (English national team coach) and Massimiliano Allegri (champion coach AC Milan). The expert commission will pick the best goal in the run of play, the best counter attack score and the best passing combination. "I am looking forward to seeing the colleagues again. It's always a very comfortable collaboration," said Schaaf before departure. On Sunday, the coach will be back along the Weser and the summer holiday will also begin for him.
