Head-coach Robin Dutt is really looking forward to his first home game at the ‘Weser-Stadium' and has no qualms with the planned „Danke Thomas!" choreography, which the Werder fans have organized as a homage to the Schaaf era.
„Quite on the contrary, I am 100% behind the action. Thomas Schaaf deserves that honour for all his years of service to the club," said Dutt at the press conference ahead of the game against FC Augsburg. And the Werder trainer was full of praise for the reaction of the supporters: "I consider it very respectful that I was informed and included in the planning for this event. That's proof of the tact and intuition of Werder fans".
The entire coaching staff are very much looking forward to the atmosphere in the ‚Weser-Stadium': „During the friendly game against Fulham, we got a taste of what's to come but I am sure it will all be far more emotional in the Bundesliga," said Dutt.
The Werder fans are planning a choreography, which will incorporate the complete stadium for when the players take to the pitch at approximately 3:22pm on Saturday. There will be a flag in the East-Stand whilst the North-, West- and South-stands hold aloft printed A4 sheets displaying the motto: „Danke Thomas!"
