Rosenberg played in 33 of 38 possible league matches for the 12th-placed team in the Spanish Primera Division, starting all but four of those games and leading the team in scoring with nine goals. "Markus Rosenberg had some good performances in Spain. We fundamentally agreed that he will be back on the pitch in Bremen for the start of training on 29 June," said Allofs.
Rosenberg himself is looking forward to his return to the Weser. "My family and I always felt very welcome in Bremen. It is nice being back here. I am looking forward to the coming season," said Rosenberg.
