Another highlight for the some 775,000 Facebook fans was the 100th North Derby win against Hamburg in the second half. There were more than 31,000 Likes for the celebrating Werder players.

Facebook: All time record?

For many Werder fans, Ludovic Obraniak is one of the leading hopes in the offensive midfield. When his transfer to Bremen was officially announced at the end of January, you could tell through click figures how high the expectations were for the Polish international. The news on WERDER.DE was the most-viewed news item of the whole season.

Instagram: A second half of exclusive moments

Since the start of the year, there has been an official Werder Instagram account with extraordinary images from the Green-Whites world. Exclusive photos from the changing room, fan pictures from the guest block or actions such as the awarding of the first Instagrammys were just some of the highlights of the second half of the season. Now nearly 13,000 Werder fans follow the profile, which has 739 photos.

The win in #Nordderby100 (North Derby 100) was also a highlight on Instagram. The derby winners picture ranks just ahead of the "Danke-Banner" (Thank you banner) after the final home match in which the players thanked the fans for the fantastic support over the entire 34 match days. The bronze went to Aaron Hunt, who felt like he had "personally bid farewell to the entire East Curve" after the Hertha win and needed 45 minutes until he finally could shower after his final match at Weser Stadium.
