He is 21-year-old and already is one of the top players in the Bundesliga and Europe. Thomas Müller has experienced an amazing start to his career in the shortest of times. He has already become a huge part of the German national team. Ahead of the North-South showdown between Werder and Bayern Munich, WERDER.DE asked Bayern's No. 25 a couple questions.

Starter at Bayern Munich and the German national team; the league and cup double; Champions League final; and the World Cup. Thomas you experienced a pretty amazing year last season. Have you been able to realise what you did or do you still have to pinch yourself?
Müller: Of course it's a dream how things have developed. I am proud of becoming a part of Bayern and the German national team. But that exactly is my motivation. The competition at FC Bayern is simply so enormous that you can never be certain or lean back and enjoy things.

You have already scored in five games against Werder. What makes games against Bremen so special in your eyes?
Müller: Bremen have been among the best teams in Germany for many years. And games against Werder were always something special for me even as a small kid. There have been quite a few heated showdowns in the Bundesliga and German Cup. And even though Bremen are playing below their ability the rivalry is always there.

You haven't lost any of the last six matches against Bremen with the last loss at Weser Stadium dating back to 21 October 2006. And with Werder currently 14th on the table, everything should be okay on Saturday...
Müller: You shouldn't make the mistake and get blinded by the table. Werder still have an excellent team with many good players. But they have remained below their potential. I am certain that the team will give their all on Saturday in front of their own fans - we can't take it lightly.

The fact that teams like Mainz and Hannover are near the top and sides like Schalke and Werder are in the lower half of the standings was not really expected before the season. Which surprises are still ahead in the final 14 game days of the season?
Müller: For Werder, I hope that they get out of the down there as quickly as possible - though not until after the game against us. We ourselves have to get as many points as possible to at least get our minimum goal of second place. Everything else we'll see.
