SV Werder Bremen will miss Assani Lukimya for two matches as the German Football Federation announced the suspension of the defender Monday evening. Werder have accepted the ruling. Lukimya was shown the red card by referee Guido Winkmann for his foul on Georg Niedermeier during second half injury time of the Green-Whites' home match against VfB Stuttgart. The Bremen defender was not even on the pitch for two minutes after being subbed in at the 89-miunute mark before Winkmann sent him to an early shower.
The ruling means the 26-year-old will miss Bremen's match this Wednesday 26 September 2012 at SC Freiburg as well as the home contest on Saturday 29 August 2012 against Bayern Munich.
