The German Football Association (DFL) has reviewed the licensing documents for Werder Bremen GmbH & Co KG aA for the 2014-15 and announced on Wednesday that the Green-Whites had fulfilled all of the requirements to take part in operations of Germany's top flight.
"We are pleased that we received the license for the coming season once again without conditions or provisions from the DFL. At the same time, it's a confirmation for us that we made good progress with the path of the economic consolidation," said Klaus Filbry, Werder's chairman of the board.
In applying for a license, the applicant must fulfil various DFL requirements in terms of their economic capacities as well as criteria involving infrastructure, safety, media, legal, personnel and administrative and sports.
