SV Werder Bremen against Bayer 04 Leverkusen has rarely produced a winner recently as six of the last seven Bundesliga match-ups have ended in a draw. Add two more defeats for the Green-Whites and SVW have not beaten Leverkusen in eight Bundesliga games. It's definitely about time for Werder to finally grab three points against Leverkusen. Bremen have been something of a powerhouse at home of late with three straight victories! Will they get the fourth in a row against Bayer?

WERDER.DE compiled more exciting facts about the match at Bremen's Weser Stadium.

Did you know ...

... that Werder have won the last four home matches against teams that play Leverkusen's preferred 4-3-3 system? Thomas Schaaf's team conceded only two goals in those matches.

... that there are some pretty clear trends going into this game? Bremen have picked up 72 percent of their points this season in home matches and Leverkusen have suffered all three of their defeats this season on the road. But Werder's home record against Leverkusen doesn't look quite as rosy as the Green-Whites' last home victory over Bayer was a 5-2 win in December 2007.

... that Bayer 04 are a hot team at the moment? Only German champions Borussia Dortmund (13) have collected more points in the last five match days than Leverkusen (12).

... that the Green-Whites have conceded the most goals in the early stages of the game? Werder keeper Sebastian Mielitz has had to reach behind him already six times in the first quarter-hour of games. Leverkusen meanwhile have scored five times in the first 15 minutes - tops along with Dortmund and Frankfurt.

... that former Werder player Sebastian Boenisch has been with Leverkusen for a good three weeks? The contract-less left back played 55 Bundesliga matches for Bremen, scoring one goal. Manuel Friedrich, Karim Bellarabi and Simon Rolfes also all played for Werder in the past. Bremen captain Clemens Fritz meanwhile lined up for Leverkusen before coming to Werder (43 matches and two goals).

... that Bayer Leverkusen's sports director Rudi Völler scored 97 of his 132 Bundesliga goals for Werder Bremen? Völler played 137 matches with the Werder diamond on his chest from 1982 to 1987. Only Marco Bode (101) tallied more goals in the Bundesliga for Werder while Frank Neubarth also struck 97 times for the Green-Whites like Völler.
