The "1st Football Forum Germany" will take place on Wednesday 16 November 2011 at the Millerntor Stadium in Hamburg, an event organised by the Scort Foundation and Sport Business International. The patronage will be handled by Werder's supervisory board chairman Willi Lemke. As part of the forum will be a high-quality discussion with recognised CSR experts on the issue "Social Responsibility in Professional Football: Competitive match or matter of the heart?"

Football has a very highly recognised social responsibility. The popularity and role model function of this sport can help increase the awareness of global challenges such as poverty, hunger, HIV/Aids and other major illnesses, infant mortality and educational deficiency.

The following guests will debate the issues in Hamburg: Anna-Lisa Schwarz (deputy CEO of the Bundesliga Stiftung foundation), Marc-André Buchwalder (CEO Scort Foundation), Anne-Kathrin Laufmann (head of social management department with Werder Bremen), Jürgen Gelsdorf (head of the performance centre for Bayer Leverkusen), Jonas Burgheim (UNOSDP Programme Officer, Assistant to the Special Adviser) and Benjamin Adrion (managing director of Viva con Agua Wasser GmbH).
