One day after Özkan Yildirim returned to team training, it was Zlatko Junuzovic's turn to come back to the Green-Whites training. "It was really okay. There is still some pain but it's okay," said the midfielder after completing a full session Monday morning.
Just like all of the other Werder players, Junuzovic also had to deal with the warm temperatures in his return. "Sure, it was pretty tough, especially the air. Also the pitch dries out under these conditions. In addition, I also missed a couple sessions so it was even tougher," said the 25-year-old.
The Austrian international would like to make up the conditioning deficit with lots of training. "What's important for me now is that I can take part in all the sessions until the opening competitive match in Saarbrücken to really be top fit," said Junuzovic. ‘Junu' suffered a bruised ankle in the test match against PEC Zwolle last Wednesday and missed the following test against Ajax Amsterdam. The Werder midfielder did not know how long he will play in the test match at RB Leipzig on Tuesday 23 July 2013 at 6 p.m. "The coach decides that," said Junuzovic.
