Zlatko Junuzovic was back at team training on Tuesday as the Austrian international finally was able to complete a session with his teammates after suffering a laceration on his knee in the last national team match, which required a number of stitches. The stitches were pulled on Monday before which Junuzovic could only keep fit with normal running.
Junuzovic's comeback was only a minor step to easing the personnel situation for head coach Thomas Schaaf. "Zladdi could have done everything this morning and until now I haven't had any negative reaction. Certainly we will have to observe the situation the next couple days before we know if he can play in Düsseldorf," said Schaaf.
Even with the return of the 25-year-old midfielder, Schaaf is still without 12 players from the professional squad for team training. Sokratis (knee laceration) and Clemens Fritz (broken rib) have the best chances of returning before the weekend though they missed training on Tuesday.
