Before the 2010-11 season, Torsten Oehrl transferred from Werder Bremen to back then second division side Augsburg. Oehrl had previously been on loan to Fortuna Düsseldorf. But he helped the team from southwest Bavaria last season to the historic promotion to the first division. A knee injury has kept Oehrl from playing this season in the Bundesliga. WERDER.DE had a short chat with the 25-year-old about the match-up against his former team-mates.
Hello Torsten, the most important question to start: How are you three months after your knee operation?
Torsten Oehrl: I am doing good again. I am happy that I have rehab behind me and now I can train again with the team.
How difficult is it that you have to sit out with the injury and cannot help the team?
Torsten Oehrl: It's always difficult but you cannot change it. You just have to take the time and recover from the injury.
Last weekend, your team-mates picked up the club's historic first Bundesliga victory in Mainz. Werder have lost two games in a row. Is this game coming at exactly the right time?
Torsten Oehrl: Werder Bremen are among the top teams in Germany. Even though Werder come here with two defeats, the roles are clearly defined. Still we will do everything we can to get our first home victory.
