The fog from yesterday was gone and the international players had returned to Bremen - that's a good swap. While U19 Germany internationals Lennart Thy and Florian Trinks as well as U20 German Pascal Testroet were on the pitch in the afternoon, German Per Mertesacker and Austrians Marko Arnautovic and Sebastian Prödl had not returned to team training after playing the night before.
As his teammates had begun their rundown after the training game, U21 German international Felix Kroos came rushing out onto the pitch. "My flight was delayed two hours," said the U21 debutant about wanting to be back in Bremen much earlier. He went through 10 minutes of some light jogging before heading back to the changing rooms for a massage.
Pasanen back again
Tim Borowski's sporting day of work didn't last any longer than 10 minutes either. The midfielder, who had recovered from his ankle injury and illness, had to leave Thursday's session early with back problems. Meanwhile, Petri Pasanen was back as the Finnish international got over his infection and could take part in full team training. Now Sandro Wagner has come down with a cold and was sit out on Thursday. "We have to see how Sandro is doing tomorrow," said head coach Thomas Schaaf.
