It's the final stages for the qualification for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil! And Werder players Zlatko Junuzovic, Sebastian Prödl and Theodor Gebre Selassie are still in the running for the final spots.

It's all of nothing for Austria and Werder players Prödl and Junuzovic on Friday 11 October 2013 when they take on Sweden in Stockholm. If Austria win, they would overtake the currently second-ranked Swedes in their head-to-head. Then the Austrians can book a spot in the play-offs with a win next Tuesday 15 October 2013 against the Faroe Islands.

For Gebre Selassie and the Czech Republic, they must pick up six points on Friday on Malta (Attard) and Tuesday in Bulgaria (Sofia) to still have a chance of reaching the play-offs.

While Niclas Füllkrug, currently on loan with Greuther Fürth, will definitely be with Germany's U20 national team at the four-nations tournament in Gemert, Netherlands, German U20 coach Frank Wormuth has asked Levent Aycicek to be on stand-by for a possible nomination after the 19-year-old's strong showing in the test match against FV Unterharmersbach.

Elsewhere, Martin Koybilanski is traveling with the Polish U20 national team in Switzerland.
