Werder players Zlatko Junuzovic and Marko Arnautovic guided the Austrian national team to a 3-2 victory over Euro2012 co-hosts Ukraine on Friday. "Juno" gave Austria the lead after three minutes with a goal on a free kick with Arnautovic scoring two goals in the second half.
After the 1-1 equaliser by Ukraine's Gusev in the 56th minute, the Werder striker gave Austria the lead again 2-1 with his strike in the 62nd minute. Gusev once again equalised three minutes later but Arnautovic gave Austria the victory with a last-minute goal, converting a pass from Junuzovic in the 89th minute for Marcel Koller's team. Fellow Werder player Sebastian Prödl also started the match at Innsbrück's Tivoli Stadium and all three Green-Whites played the full 90 minutes in front of 13,000 spectators.
Sebastian Boenisch and the Polish national team meanwhile collected their third victory in three test matches as the Euro 2012 co-hosts clearly beat Andorra 4-0. Head coach Franciszek Smuda played the Werder defender the full 90 minutes as in the previous two tests, leaving Boenisch with good chances of making the starting line-up during the tournament. Poland's goals were scored by Ludovic Obraniak (13th), Robert Lewandowski (37th), Jakub Blaszczykowski (39th) and Marcin Wasilewski (77th).
