SV Werder Bremen and marketing partner Infront Sports & Media have prematurely extended their partnership, with the international sports marketing company marketing the commercials right of the club - including the main and jersey sponsoring and other selected partner packages - until the end of the 2028-29 season. The new contract comes into effect starting in the 2019-20 season and runs 10 years.
"Such a long-term agreement is a strong commitment from our strategic partners to Werder Bremen and shows that the connection is characterised by a mutual trust. We are happy to continue the successful path with Infront for the coming 15 years," said Klaus Filbry, the chairman of the SV Werder Bremen management.
"Werder Bremen is one of the biggest football brands in Germany. As part of our close and trusting partnership over more than 25 years, we have continued to develop the marketing structures together with the club to offer sponsors and advertising partners a high quality advertising environment," said Günter Netzer, executive director of Infront. "With the premature extension, both sides have maximum planning certainty. We have major trust in the management and the future of the club and will do our financial part so that SV Werder Bremen can once again return to their former times of success."
