Werder Bremen have signed striker Boubacar Sanogo. The 24 year old striker from the Ivory Coast, who was signed to Hamburg SV last season, put his name to a four year contract with Werder Bremen on Tuesday morning which will see him in Green-White until 30.06.2011. The official transfer fee has been kept under wraps by all parties involved.
The striker, who will wear the number 18 for Werder, took part in team training for first time at 10am and he will be part of the squad for Tuesday evenings friendly game against SC Paderborn.
Boubacar Sanogo arrived in Germany’s Bundesliga from Saudi Arabian club Al Ain two years ago and drew attention to himself at Kaiserslautern, scoring ten goals in 24 appearances for the club. Having signed for HSV he scored four goals in 31 games.
