Watch out Werder fans, the countdown has begun. In nine days, on Sunday, 29.07.2007, Werder Bremen will throw open its doors for the ‘Day of the Fans’ with a Green-White spectacle all around the stadium to raise the spirits of all our faithful followers.

At 11am, the stadium announcers Arnd Zeigler and Christian Stoll will, together with Werder DJ-Choco, officially open the event. The trio will then guide the fans through the whole days programme which will include such highlights as a dribbling course, shot speed tester and Bungee-Running.

Of course at the ‘Day of the Fans’, the Werder faithful will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with ‘Boro’, Frings, Fritz & Co. The players will take part in an open training session on ‘Platz 11’ at 9:30am and for the patient fans, it will be possible to get the autographs of the whole team during the course of the day. The whole team will be presented on stage at approximately 11:30am so cameras ready for some unforgettable snap shots of your heroes.

To add a musical highlight to the day, ‘Afterburnern’ will play live. The six man band will surely get the crowd going with such hits as ‘Wir Sind Werder Bremen’ (We are Werder Bremen).

Of course that’s not all. There will be all sorts of entertaining features for young and old ( a detailed plan will be announced) to make the ‘Day of the Fans’, a day to remember and to add the icing to that particular cake – the whole thing is FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to the expected rush on the stadium and number of potential visitors, Werder Bremen recommend the use of public transport to reach the stadium as there will only be 400 parking places available around the stadium.

Hal Över are offering a fantastic parking possibility on the far side of the Weser where 800 parking places are available. For just €2, you can park by ‘Café Sand’ between 8:30am and midnight and the cost of the ship crossing in both directions is included.
