The 24 year old keeper signed a two year deal with the east German side: "I had a fantastic time at Werder but I unfortunately wasn't able to make my breakthrough. Still, that's not such a negative thing at a club like Werder Bremen. I Jena I think I have a very good chance to prove myself again", explained Jensen. Both Werder Bremen and Carl-Zeiss Jena have agreed to withhold all transfer fee information.
Kasper Jensen moved to the Weser in February 2005 from Danish second division club Haderlev FK (now SonderriyskElitesport) and made 68 appearances in the Green-Whites reserve team. Jensen will well remember the 2005/2006 season as he earned a reputation as a 'Penalty-Killer' and played a vital part in seeing to it that Werders Under 23 side remained in Germany's third highest division.
