Werder Bremen has intensified it’s campaign against racism. Since the post winter break Bundesliga re-start, the roof of the west stand has donned the banner displaying the message: “Werder gegen Rassismus” (Werder Against Racism). On the opposite side of the stadium on the east stand the slogan “United As One” is clear to see.
Werder have intensified the motto “Werder Against Racism” and raised the theme on the Green-Whites internet site. Aside from the already implemented banner “Werder gegen rassimus”, an anti-racism domain will be initiated in the main navigation page of the internet site. Werder will here be publicising information about the campaign, background news and important dates. Werder will also use the domain to make public all projects surrounding the Werder Bremen against racism stand and the demands for more tolerance.
Werder club manager Klaus –Dieter Fischer commented on Monday: „We want to make our continuing stance against racism clear using these means in the long term. This message should be absolutely clear at all times and not just on special occasions.
