Klose Candidate For 'World Player of the Year' Award

Last seasons top scorer in the Bundesliga and the 2006 World Cup's 'Golden Boot' winner Miroslav Klose has been selected amoung the elite group of nominees for the title of 'FIFA World Player of the Year'.

Last seasons top scorer in the Bundesliga and the 2006 World Cup's 'Golden Boot' winner Miroslav Klose has been selected amoung the elite group of nominees for the title of 'FIFA World Player of the Year'. The winner of the award will be announced during the FIFA World Player Gala in Zurich, Switzerland on 18.12.2006.

 

Aside from Klose there have been 29 further players nominated including Michael Ballack, Philip Lahm and Jens Lehmann. Ronaldinho, from Werder Bremen's Champions League Group opponents FC Barcelona is agains amoungst the nominees having taken the title in 2004 and 2005.
