German Under 21 international and Werder Bremen striker vehemently denies accusations of racism from his English Under 21 counterparts. A report from the English FA states that two English players were subjected to racist comments during the clash between the two sides in Leverkusen on Tuesday night. On the night the visitors won 2:0 (3:0 on aggeragate) to knock Germany out of the European Championships in Holland. The incident was commented on by the English press who named Aaron Hunt as one of the culprits.
Aaron Hunt commented on the situation: "I made no racist comments. Without a doubt, during the course of the game there were a few hefty verbal exchanges but that happens in every game."
Hunt refuses to accept being branded a racist: "I've just spent the whole week with the national side sharing a room with Kevin-Prince Boateng. He is a coloured player. I hope that explains enough."
The following statement was released by the British daily newspaper 'The Mirror' regarding the incidents:
Antn Ferdinand and Micah Richards accused Germany's players of racism last night as England Under-21s booked their place in next summer's European Championship Finals.
The West Ham and Manchester City youngsters were both allegedly called 'monkeys' during the second half of the 2-0 play-off victory, secured with a brilliant double strike by substitute Theo Walcott.
The England players were furious with their German opponents and made their feelings known after wrapping up a 3-0 aggregate triumph.

The Football Association confirmed it had held talks with a UEFA delegate in Leverkusen and hope action will be taken.
An FA spokesman said: "Two of our players reported racial abuse from German players. We have raised this issue with the UEFA delegate and will formally communicate with them in the next few days.
"Racism is an issue we take very seriously." Ferdinand was upset after the game but refused to be drawn on which players were directing the abuse. The West Ham defender said: "It's in the hands of the FA."
UEFA have threatened to throw Croatia out of the European Championships if there is any racism in Zagreb tonight.
