Day of the Fans: Show Training and New Introductions

There are just five days to go until the 'Day of the Fans 2006'. The greatest of all Werder festivals kicks off on Sunday, 06.08.2006 when the eagerly awaited Bundesliga re-start can be made all the more exciting for the fans and the fabulous football atmosphere in Germany after the wonderful World Cup can get a chance to explode again.

There are just five days to go until the 'Day of the Fans 2006'. The greatest of all Werder festivals kicks off on Sunday, 06.08.2006 when the eagerly awaited Bundesliga re-start can be made all the more exciting for the fans and the fabulous football atmosphere in Germany after the wonderful World Cup can get a chance to explode again. Werder.de has put together a list of the highlights of the events awaiteing the Green-White faithful between 9:30am and 3pm around the Weser Stadium.

 

The party gets underway at 9:30pm with a Show-training by the professional team. The session will include World Cup heroes Torsten Frings, Tim Borowski and Golden Boot winner Miroslav Klose and will take place at the reserve sides stadium on 'Platz 11'. Head coach Thomas Schaaf has been planning to ensure entertainment for all the fans who make the early start. Press Director Tino Polster will present the events of the day.

 

At 11am the "Day of the Fans 2006 Party Mile" will be officially opened infront of the stadiums East Stand. The show will be kicked off by stadium announcers Arnd Zeigler, Christian Stoll and Werder DJ Choco.

 

On the Big Stage at 11:05am, there will be a chance to hear a discussion with Werders top men behind the scenes with chairman Jürgen L. Born, Klaus Allofs, Klaus-Dieter Fischer and Manfred Müller available to make some announcements about the plans for the coming season and some always interesting background information.

 

11:30am - Morning Highlight!!! Team Presentation. The new signings are particularly excited about this part of the day more tahn any other. Diego, Hugo Almeida, Pierre Wome and Clemens Fritz will be officially introduced to the Green-White followers for the first time and will be joined on stage by the whole Werder squad with all World Cup participants alongside them. In a series of short interviews the team will individually greet the fans, just a week before they start their 2006/2007 Bundesliga campaign.

 

Then between 12:30pm and 2:30pm the Werder players will get to mix it with the fans personallly amongst the attractions on the fan mile. Surely there will be the opportunity for a quick word and an autograph from your favourite star while partaking in the family friendly events.

There is plenty on offer for everyone with:

 

-The Milka-Truck will have a climbing wall, a ski simulator and a climable mountain with ball pool.

 

-At Hol 'ab you can try your luck shooting at drinks crates.

 

-Coca-Cola invite you into the 'Soccer-Cage' for a speed check and a bouncy castle.

 

-Vilsa will be back again with their "Vilsa Rolle" event tool. As usual their will be games, prizes and tester drinks available.

 

-The 'Wheel of Fortune' will be turned again by the crew from Hitradio Antenne.

 

-Werder kit producers KAPPA will set up a "Speed Arena".

 

-The active among the participants can enjoy two "Human-Soccer-Courts" there will be one court each constructed by Langnese as well as Haake Beck.

 

-The Weser-kurier stand will be the most colourful with fans being given the chance to have their faces painted in their teams colours.

 

-For further prize winning games, bouncy castles, refreshments and entertainment the fans will be spoiled by the efforts of Werder partners Caparol, VBN, PSD-Bank, RENO, Bäcker Bünger, Kraft Foods, bwin, chupa chups, SWB and EWE.
