After Tuesday morning's light jogging session, trainer Thomas Schaaf invited his players to training with the ball on Wednesday morning. Tim Weise was also back in the fold after having been substituted early in the first half against Frankfurt on Saturday with a back injury. Having come through Tuesday's session, the keeper also completed training with the team on Wednesday without any problems: "I'm feeling good, there's nothing standing in the way of me playing against Bayern on Saturday", glowed Wiese who is delighted about his speedy recovery.

Thomas Schaaf will have to make do without Torsten Frings (calf strain), Nelson Valdez (over-stretched ligaments in left knee), Frank Baumann (torn ligaments in left knee) and Jelle van Damme who is still battling with a muscular problem with his left thigh. They all undertook individual training. Not even part of the trainings squad were Aaron Hunt and Leon Andreasen. Whilst Hunt made his way to undergo rehabilitation therapy in Donaustauf with Klaus Eder, the Danish international was still at trainings camp with his national Under 21 squad until Tuesday evening.

Nelson Valdez is making good progress. The Paraguayan international intends to rejoin the squad for training on Thursday. "If that works out I could take part on Saturday", said the striker hopefully. Torsten Frings didn't want to make a prognosis about the Bayern game: "Tomorrow I'll try training with the team again", explained the midfielder who has not yet given up hope of takingb part. Almost definately without a chance of facing the league leaders from Munich is captain Frank Baumann: "I'm doing better but not good enough yet to be able to play. We don't want to force anything", admitted the 30 year old.
