Andreas Reinke lay back and enjoyed the comfort of the relaxation bath in the Werder changing room on Tuesday. The keeper deserved the rest after a first strenuous training session. "I just work in the gym for 90 minutes, it's going well", explained Reinke who is happy with his development after the severe injuries he picked up playing against VfB Stuttgart. "In the last few days I've been out in the fresh air quite a lot, taking long walks and gradually upping the tempo - I've even managed a couple of minutes of jogging periodically - it's coming on."
The keepr has no intention of overdoing things though: "I'm just testing myself out, doing all the exercises alone - I don't need a trainer yet." That should change soon though. "Maybe I can start again with jogging next week, maybe even a few exercises with the ball", said the keeper hopefully who is by no means about to consider his season over.
Until he can get back into team training will take a while. The 37 year old hasd other tasks to think of during his time away from playing aside from concentrating on his comeback. "I'm spending a few hours getting through the well wishes I have received. The amount and support has been amazing. I've already answered a lot of post, around 100 letters so far and I'll be sending them off in the next few days."
