Just days after his comeback to full team training and Petri Pasanen has taken up where he left off, barking loud commands at his team-mates and refusing to shy out of tackles. Unfortunately for the Finnish international, Saturdays Bundesliga tie against new boys MSV Duisburg is still too early: "Petri still ahs a lot of catching up to do and needs time till he's fit again. In his current status he's not an option for 45 minutes, let alone 90", explained head coach Thomas Schaaf.
Most noticeably, the 25 year old is as yet holding back in aerial duels after returning having suffered a serious concussion. "The evening, night or morning after heading the ball, I still feel tension in my neck but that's normal after a 2,5 month break from training", Pasanen commented who continued by saying he'll take "All the time in the world", before his return to the starting eleven.
Thomas schaaf experienced something of a 'Lazarett Effect' on Tuesday morning as Daniel Jensen, who had been suffering from an infection and Pekka Lagerbloom, who'd been forced out with an ankle injury both rose and returned to team training. Jelle van Damme (groin operation), Ümit Davala (hip problem) and Tim Wiese (cruciate tear) all find themselves on the mend in rehab.
