Werder Bremen intend to whip up a storm on Wednesday evening according to the tactics mentioned by Thomas Schaaf during Tuesdays press conference: "Contrary to the first leg, this time we'll have to give the opposition defence a lot more to do. We allowed them far too much peace in Udine", fired Schaaf, who is expecting a fast moving game and much more penetration from his side. This pressure should be issued from the out-set: "It can't be our goal, to wait until we fall behind. That may work out well a couple of times, but it costs a lot of energy trying to turn those games around", explained the Werder coach, commenting on the outcome of last weekend 4:1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt at the weekend having fallen behind early on.

Above all, Werder need to maintain concentration when in possession warned midfield playmaker Johan Micoud: "We've got to concentrate on our game especially when we're on the ball. We can't allow ourselves to be dispossessed as easily as in the first leg."

The Bundesliga high-flyers expect a great from their strike duo of Klose and Klasnic who get the chance to start a Champions League home game together for the first time this Champions League season, after Klose missed out on the Barcelona tie through suspension. "With these two, we have the option of using something that we know works very well. They are both internationals with a great deal of quality. They would both break through in any other league and we'll have to make use of that", said Schaaf.

Udinese Calcio coach Serse Cosmi also has a lot of respect for the attacking pair: "You have to watch them and we will." The Italian admitted on Tuesday that he is preparing his side for a defensive battle. "Our strenght lies in quick counter attacks and it's possible that Werder are not going to give us the chance to use anything else tomorrow", admitted Cosmi who sees the home side as favourites: "I saw the game against FC Barcelona and Werder were absolutely on the same level but they now only have one point and have deserved more."

Werders Thomas Schaaf made no secret of the fact that his side now have to go about picking up points but is wary of the hight of expectations: "We did a lot right in the first leg because we were solid at the back. Udinese are more dangerous now because it's not going so well for them in the league right now and they will want to set the scene for setting that right in the Champions League", warned Thomas Schaaf, who is well aware that the Italians haven't managed to notch up a single win since their first leg meeting. Cosmi, whose side have so far managed just two draws and one defeat sees the situation as would be expected: "We've not had such a good run but we want to iron that out now. We intend to provide something special against Werder on Wednesday and then something even more special against AC Milan at the weekend."
