Successful Surgery For Tim Wiese

Werder Bremen keeper Tim Wiese underwent surgery on Wednesday, 03.08.2005. The operation was successfully carried out by Dr. Schäferhoff at the Media-Park Clininc in Cologne without complications. Wiese plans to stay in Cologne for a couple of days to re-couperate before returning to Bremen to begin his rehab programme.

The 23 year old keeper tore the cruciate ligament in his left knee for the second time in nine months during Werders friendly against Hansa Rostock last Saturday, 30.07.2005. The new signing is expected to be out of action for something between four and six months.
